Terms
The short version: Potluck is free, it keeps track of who owes what, and the money never goes through it. Use it kindly.
What Potluck is
Potluck helps a group keep track of shared costs and work out who owes whom. It doesn't move money: paying someone back happens in your own payment app or in cash, between you and them. Potluck isn't part of those payments and can't undo them. Check the amounts before you pay.
Your potlucks
What you put in a potluck is yours and your friends'. Anyone with its link can see and change it, so share links only with the people in it, and reset the link if it gets out. Every change is in the potluck's history, and most can be undone. You can export a potluck to a spreadsheet (CSV) from its settings at any time.
Using it fairly
- Don't use Potluck for anything illegal, or to harass or mislead people.
- Don't try to get into potlucks you weren't invited to, overload the service, or copy it in bulk with scripts.
We may remove a potluck that breaks these rules.
No guarantees
Potluck is free and provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and your numbers right, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and, as far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it. We may change Potluck or stop running it; if we stop, we'll say so on this site first, so you can export your potlucks.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with its date. Using Potluck after a change means you accept the new terms.
